Tbf, I'm not sure why you needed a 'bloke' section? I mean, choose a scent you know he likes, and get something in that scent.

Last time I was in a Lush I ended up getting getting my arm washed and I wasnt sure how I had got there... so I haven't been back since.

The scents in lush appeal to anyone. Even the packaging isn’t exactly feminine so don’t see why you need a ‘bloke’ section in there.

Although I don’t think my teenage boys would be enthused about any product from lush regardless of what section it came from.

I think perhaps you're understandably enough sensitised to the word 'inclusive' because it's so often used now in situations where there's a totally valid reason for differentiation by sex. But bathing products really aren't in that category - more like eg toys which should just be arranged by function without unnecessary 'gendering'.

They did have a men's section before though with quirky bloke names on the products. I can see why the OP asked

They should have been able to explain the reorganisation and point the OP towards the products that used to be in the range and now are not separately indicated.

Buy some "inclusive" soap. Wrap it in black or khaki paper and write WILD or SAVAGE or UNTAMED on it. You've got man soap.

I haven't shopped in Lush since this happened. I can't understand why companies don't just sell their products. Alienating customers in order to appear "woke" is not good business.

I don't see why soap needs to be gendered. I've seen similar objections to shops removing boys' toys and girls' toys sections - some people genuinely liked being able to quickly find all the stereotypical stuff.

But I'm gender critical, so my stance is that products should not be gendered unless it's something that's actually to do with the sexed body. Anybody can like or dislike the smell of strawberries or bath bombs or whatever and there is no reason to say these things for one sex or the other.

I think it's fair enough not to have a bloke section. That's the kind of inclusivity I can get behind.

The rest is just marketing surely. I really don't see a problem with this!

This reminds me of the time my brother bought me a Christmas present unsupervised. His girlfriend pointed him to Lush as their products are vegan. He went in and picked out bath bombs which, to his eyes, were shaped like pieces of broccoli because they must be the ones for vegans!

They are in danger of being even more confusing for the average male with this development

It's not though. Because they used to do a specific mens range. And they still sell products acceptable to most men. They're just mixed in now amongst the other products, and the staff apparently aren't allowed to indicate them to you! Even if they know full well what products you mean.
